Impact of Human Genetic Engineering

I recently read an article that Chinese scientists have genetically modified human embryos. Link the the article Chinese Scientist Genetically Modify Embryos

My mind couldn't stop thinking about the potential impacts of human genetic engineering.  Below are some of my thoughts:

1. Elimination of all human genetically caused human diseases both in all humans pre and post birth.
2. No birth related deformities.
3. Super enhanced physical abilities relative to the standard human abilities we posses today.  
4. Upper Class at first will be the only ones who care afford to genetically engineer their offspring.
5. Wealth and living standards gap will increase from the rich to the middle class and poor.
6. Higher IQs, superior intelligence and accelerated learning abilities
7. Increased adaptability to environmental factors relative to our abilities today. 
8. Increase in mental disorders such as depression, paranoia and anxiety.
9. God complex compared to naturally selected humans.
10. Super ambition which could lead to wars
11. Morality and ethics issues, racism, or genetically enhanced racism towards naturally selected humans.
12. On the flip side, a could lead to a new era of peace and cooperation between nations and peoples.  

These are just some thoughts, some are vague because I was thinking conceptually.  I would love to read your thoughts.
