CNBC Is The Only Myth

I rarely get political but when CNBC posted this article called Myth Busting: The Wealth Gap Isn't At Record High, it just makes me laugh.  Does it really matter if isn't it that record levels?  The wealth gap is at near record levels.  However at a level where is to high relative to the middle and working classes.  I am a capitalist and I want rich people to be rich.  Hell I want everyone to be rich but I know that it is impossible.  However, when the ultra wealthy gain more wealth that is a problem.

When the financial crisis of 2008 happened the ultra wealthy were really nervous because the market and economy was collapsing which means their wealth would have collapsed too.  The free market dictated that their assets where worthless.   Of course the government and federal reserve came to the rescque and claims they were helping the country.  Maybe they had good intentions however, their bailouts and money printing only propped up the ultra wealthy.   The middle class really didn't get much besides the majority of them keeping their jobs but getting no real wage increases.  The cost of living, food and oil prices have skyrocketed thanks to the government.

In my opinion the middle class has become the serfs of the 21st century.  Where we pay more for food, energy, taxes, housing and retirement whiles the rich their wealth is socialized.  Yes I said it Socialism for the rich.  In a true capitalist society, there is class mobility rather wealth mobility.  The poor can become rich and the rich can become poor.  The United States has set up a system where the rich and the old get protected.
